The photography course started this weekend just passed. I think it went well. 10 students and they are all quite nice - a real mix of people, ages etc. It was a lot of fun (well, at least for me).
I had a nice quite valentine's - made Rozie breakfast, gave her the new gorilla tripod for SLRs (I know it doesn't sound romantic, but she's a photographer!). Rozie made me a lovely roast dinner and all around, we just had a lovely day.
Oh - and the big news! Duckie has now officially become a distiller! I have all the equipment and am ready to bravely start my first batch of spirit making - beginning with rum, of course! LOL. I think it will be fun. It'll add to my weirdo list of skills - distilling, bread making, piza dough making, jam and marmalaide making, cooking, etc. I might not be much of a man, but I'm content and enjoy the weird things I get up to.
I also have two models booked over the next month. As per usual, they may or may not front up, but at least I have the plans in place.
Finally, I have a trip way up north on the coast booked for easter and then back to the South Island of New Zealand in September (I love the South Island) with my Rozie and young Matty.
That's me in a nut shell. Hopefully, you'll see a range of new shoots soon.
Share the love, campers!
Duckie.

Hehe, is nice knowing how to make food. I can only do basic stuff since I dont have much time. Some day I'll see if I can learn to make pasta
I think its great that you know how to make jam, bread, pizza and that you enjoy cooking. I am definately not surprised that your photographic class went well. I can imagine you would be an entertaining teacher....hmmm sounds like after your last horror month that things are settling nicely. Good to hear that simple things made your valentines day special....I envy you for that.
Now about the rum distillery ....hmmm...rum is definately not your friend but I guess we all have to have vices and if keeps you out of mischief then why not.
Seriously though Andy, I am really glad that life is good for you. How far north are you going at Easter?
Now about the rum... I think I need to be careful, but the fun in this for me is not the rum...it's the making. It's the fact that I can hope to develop some practical skills. I tell ya, my dream is to run a little B&B where I can teach this stuff. Bread, spirits, gardening... photography... imagine that!
The three of us are headed for Agnes Waters. It's the gateway to the reef. Has lots of National Parks. I'm really looking forward to the time. Us 3 have a special relationship - I really wanna cash in on that.
Sometimes, life for a crazy old coot turns out real propa good!
Andy
Happy distilling.
Yay for the gorillapod.
