God watches over us...

Journal Entry: Sun Dec 4, 2011, 12:52 AM
She really does!  On Friday, I went to the dentist.  I gotta have two huge fillings pulled out and replaced.  I also need a crown pulled off and some potential decay under it fixed.  Not looking forward to it with my phobias and all.

So anyways, I gets to the Dentist.  Turns out that I'm half hour early.  Damn it.  More time to fly into a panic.  Finally, my time arrives and I slink into the chair.  Two seconds before the dentist starts, pffftttt, out goes the power.  We waited 5 minutes and then he let me off the hook.  Phew.

Arrite, it's only a week's reprieve, but hell, I'll take it!  Thank you Lord!  And, thanks for all those gorgeous models to photograph, and my family, and my Rozie...

Oh, one of my little dogs has to have a skin cancer removed.  I hope it hasn't spread.  Gunna cost me $800!  Still, we gotta try to save our Shozzie Lamour.  For those who don't know, her brother has his own DA account. LOL  [link]

I need to have a filling replaced, too. But I have to wait until I can afford it. I've politely requested to be sedated for the procedure, because I will completely lose my mind otherwise. I've had bad experiences with the dentist, pointy tools and pain. :l

Hey darl. It went wonderfully. I can honestly say that it was no big deal, not in the slightest (and this was a bloody huge filling). Now don't get me wrong, I fair pooed my pants before hand. But it really was dead easy. In fact, replacing a filling is soooooo much easier than getting a new one. I can't damn well believe it. (He showed me a photo before hand, and then wanted to show me one when the filling was out - I had to say "Are you fu*&ing crazy?!" He laughed and said, "Shit, you were going so well, I completely forgot!") I'm fairly dancing a jig. This is one procedure you can feel dead safe about. I told you that God looks after you. She did a great job today. Ahhhh... I am so relaxed now. I'll never fear a stupid replacement again. (Okay, there's a lot of stuff I am still dead scared of, but not that one.)

People are telling me I'm a wuss and that a filling replacement is no big deal but my experiences in the past have been traumatic. I'd rather be sedated for the sake of my own sanity, and the safety of the dentist and hygienist. Because last time I was unexpectedly hurt, I bit the dentist pretty hard. Hahaha

Oh, I didn't say I wasn't sedated. Took one of my little pink pills. Trust me, I understand exactly what you are saying. I found a very careful and caring dentist - he costs a bomb, but he is very gentle.

The guy who did my last checkup isn't my usual dentist, but he was very gentle and incredibly soft-spoken, I had to pause my iPod and move my headphones off my ears just so I could hear what he was saying. He's kindly agreed to provide conscious sedation for the procedure. But first I have to figure out how to pay for it, LOL

That's great news.

America is sooo expensive for any health service. We have free options on a lot of things - but the poor buggers who provide it are harried and over-worked. Health care should be for everyone. That's one thing I found disappointing about the States. Mind you, we aren't perfect at it - a long way short - but I suspect America could learn a little from our system. (And shhhh, we aren't communists over here. Our public service is actually there to provide service. Worst of all, our folks who are well off figure it's their job to help give the rest a "fair go.")

I have insurance, but there's still a copay. It's that I have to save for. Then, I can get this filling replacement taken care of.

I wish healthcare was available to everyone. It would make living in this country so much easier. :l

The mouth can be a tender area.... sorry bout that ... Do they not give laughing gas over here??? Shozzie obviously needs to limit her time out in the sun.... Maybe get her a little place on the leather couch for recuperation! She will need special attention. Maybe the two's of youse can have some down time together!!!!

Oh.. my poor little girl. She has a huge wound. Mind you, running around like a damn nutter, but it had to hurt. Rozie has to have 2 days off and me one (I don't work Fridays so it's a freebee).
