Well, I reckon it's been raining pretty steadily for over a month now. I'm getting bored - can't get outside to shoot. Still, I'm grateful I don't live out west. We have flood seas bigger than France and Germany put together. Our Treasurer says "Floods of Biblical proportions." Whole towns have been evacuted - which is a first for the State. My good partner has been working pretty much 12 hour days since Boxing Day, so most of my time gets spent on house chores - jeez, it's tough going being a single parent.
My thoughts and best wishes to those who have water above their floor boards. Good luck, and stay safe.
Duckie.
****VERY SAD UPDATE******
Another huge deluge in towns just outside of Brisbane like Toowoomba, Gatton, Gympie etc etc
After yet another day of big rains, we are again losing houses, towns, and unfortunately this time, lives. Things are still unfolding, but it is very grim. Many rivers are peaking at 20 metres above their normal levels. Good grief, that's gotta be like a 6 or 7 story building worth!!! Tomorrow is another day of heavy rain.
If you know a Queenslander, you might want to say a prayer for them.
